STAY Peru complete the first Fanista Spotlight campaign: 5,000 of 5,000

018

The first Fanista Spotlight campaign has been completed, and it was STAY Peru who got it there. "Peru Wants Stray Kids!" closed at 5,000 of 5,000 likes, a full 100 percent.

Peru said it first

The campaign ran from August 6 to September 5, aimed at JYP Entertainment. Its goal was simple: get the voices of Peruvian STAYs in front of the company, through an LED truck or a billboard outside JYP's building.

Stray Kids had announced a tour, and STAYs in Peru did not want their city left off the map. So they made the ask themselves.

Five thousand, and not one short

Every like on that bar came from a person who chose to add their name. The campaign did not squeak past the line, it landed exactly on it, and the counter now reads Completed.

That is the first time any Fanista Spotlight campaign has reached its goal. Peru holds that record, and no one can take a first away.

What happens next

Fanista has already contacted the campaign's creator, and the final result will appear on our social channels soon. We will keep posting updates through the process so nobody misses a detail.

The poster the fandom rallied behind said it plainly, in Spanish, addressed to Seoul: ¡Perú quiere a Stray Kids! A message for Stray Kids, from Peru.

The read: a fandom that organized itself

Start with who did the work. This was not a label campaign or a media buy, it was 5,000 individual people deciding the same thing within thirty days.

That matters because it turns a fandom from an audience into a counterpart. A company can ignore sentiment on social media, but a completed campaign with a number attached is a document.

It also runs against how tour routing usually gets decided, which is promoter data, historic ticket sales and existing infrastructure. Peru just added a new input to that process, generated by the people who would buy the tickets.

The part still unwritten is the response. A campaign proves demand exists; whether it changes a routing decision is a separate question, and that answer belongs to JYP.

NEXT — Watch for the final result on Fanista's social channels, and for which country files the second Spotlight campaign now that the first one has shown it can be finished.

Congratulations, STAY Peru. Which artist should the next Spotlight campaign bring to the streets? Tell us in the comments. In South America, you can support your artist through Fanista.
