On their fourth debut anniversary, NewJeans released their first official content as a four-member group—Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein. Label ADOR, a HYBE subsidiary, dropped individual member teasers followed by a group video titled “2026 Summer of NewJeans,” posted under the “NewJeans Day” banner across the group’s official channels.
The teasers carry a nostalgic, summer Y2K aesthetic echoing the group’s debut era, paired with the tagline “Did You See The White Furry Animal?”—a nod to the bunny imagery long tied to the group and its fans. It is their first coordinated promotional push since the 2024 Japanese single “Supernatural” and the highly publicized dispute with ADOR. No release date has been confirmed, but the campaign strongly signals an upcoming comeback.
The teasers also confirm Minji’s return, whose status had been uncertain since the legal battle began in 2024—the first official confirmation that she remains with the group. Absent is Danielle, whose contract was terminated in December 2025 after a Seoul court ruled the members’ contracts with ADOR valid through 2029. ADOR has since filed a roughly $30 million damages suit against Danielle and former CEO Min Hee-jin, while Danielle has begun an independent career. The case remains ongoing.
