YG Entertainment said on August 7 that all four BLACKPINK members will attend the group's 10th anniversary meet & greet in Seoul on August 8. The confirmation closed a day in which the plan changed more than once — starting with the label's own notice, which had said only "some members" would be there.

YG posted the meet & greet announcement on BLACKPINK's official Weverse on August 6. The format is small: 40 fans, picked at random from Weverse membership holders, at an undisclosed location in Seoul. The line that drew attention was the caveat — the event would be attended by "some BLACKPINK members (those whose schedules allow)."
Attention moved to who might be missing. Rosé had recently been seen in Los Angeles, which fed speculation that she would skip. On August 7, THEBLACKLABEL issued a statement saying that inaccurate claims and unverified guesses about her personal schedule and her attendance were circulating online, and that she had made the date a priority well in advance and locked her calendar around it. A separate unverified report that morning said Lisa would not attend. Later the same day, YG confirmed all four, saying it had checked with the members' labels.

The other item on August 8 is merchandise. BLACKPINK's Heritage Collection, made with MU:DS and the National Museum of Korea, runs to seven pieces that rework traditional Korean craft — a folding fan, a norigae keyring, a storage box, a cutlery set, soju glasses, and a decorative moon jar among them. Prices run from 52,000 KRW for the soju glass set to 100,000 KRW for the moon jar, with pre-orders opening at 9 a.m. KST through YG SELECT.
The group also posted a message to fans on Weverse: "Thank you, BLINK, for shining with us over the past 10 years. We hope we'll continue making many more happy memories together." Some fans had already questioned the 40-seat scale before the member confusion began. According to The Korea Herald, the event is the first time all four have appeared together in front of fans in Korea since July 2025.

The wobble was not about willingness. Read YG's confirmation closely and the giveaway is the plural: it checked with the members' labels. Since 2024 each member has run her own company — Jisoo with BLISSOO, Jennie with OA, Rosé with THEBLACKLABEL, Lisa with LLOUD — while YG holds the group.
That structure is exactly what let four solo careers run at full speed at the same time, and it is a large part of why the last two years worked as well as they did commercially. The cost lands here. A group date now needs four separate sign-offs, and a notice can go out before all four are locked in.
It also differs from how most K-pop agencies handle an anniversary. One company usually controls every member's calendar, so the announcement goes out once, complete. YG published a conditional notice instead. That was the honest version of the situation, and the honesty is what opened a day of guessing.
The risk is not the one-day confusion. Measured against a tenth anniversary, what has been announced is small — 40 seats and a merchandise line — and fans were saying so before any of this started. The second-order effect is that individual labels now issue statements on group matters, which multiplies the number of doors a story can come through.
Does the tenth anniversary come with anything at scale — a tour leg, a release, a broadcast — or does August 8 stand on its own? Nothing beyond the meet & greet and the merchandise has been announced. If nothing follows inside the anniversary month, the 40-seat event is the whole marker.
NEXT — whether YG adds anniversary programming after August 8, and how the Heritage Collection pre-order lands.
